Barbara D Taylor

Barbara Derrick Taylor, age 90, entered into rest on Wednesday June 3, 2026.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William Denzel Smith and Ima Satcher Smith, and her brother Dickie Smith.

She is survived by her children Mickey (Corliss) Derrick, Tony (Della)Derrick, Tonya Todd, and Angela(Chuck) Hensley, her sister Patricia(Buddy) Berry and her brother Ronnie (Marisue) Smith. In addition she was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her special friend Tina Pearson.

The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of Enhabit Hospice-Hannah, Hope, Elizabeth, and Chaplin Janie-for their loving and expert care.

Barbara retired from MCG where she worked for 25 years as an LPN. She loved gospel music and looked forward to her eternal heavenly home.

A private graveside service was held. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Enhabit Hospice (2743 Perimeter Pkwy, bldg 100, Augusta, Ga. 30909)

Jackson Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted in the care of arrangements.
