Betty Barrett

Ms. Betty Joyce Barrett, age 80, beloved wife to the late J.O. Barrett, entered into rest on Saturday January 11, 2025.

She is survived by her daughter, Ora Barrett; brother, Jimmy (Kathy) Manley; grandchildren, Brandon Clark (Cheslie), Dereck Clark (Carly Rivers), Savanna Lowe, Cheyanne Lowe, Lisa Fogg (Michael), Jon (Audrey) McCowan, Jaimie McCowan; and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, D.C. and Mary Manley; sons, Phillip and Steve McCowan; brother, Ricky Manley, sister, Ann Barnes; and granddaughter, Amanda McCowan. 

Ms. Barrett was a cashier and a manager at Gurley's Supermarket in Warrenville. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. 

A graveside service honoring her life will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2025 at 1pm at the Warrenville Cemetery with Pastor Chase Gough officiating. 

Pallbearers will be: Robert Smith, Dereck Clark, Stewart Reed, Chris Glover, Austin Glover and Eli Johnson. 

Mr. Danny Stewart will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
