Billy Ray "Hawk" Hawkins, Jr.

Mr. Billy Ray "Hawk" Hawkins, Jr, age 75, beloved husband to the late Mary Linda Franklin Hawkins, entered into rest on Monday March 2, 2026.

He is survived by his son, Billy Ray Hawkins, III (Amanda); grandchildren, Dakoda Hawkins, Jeremiah Hawkins, Cori Durfee, Cheyenne Durfee, Cassie Barnes; great grandchildren, Shelby Hawkins, Raleigh Mae Hawkins; and sisters, Sandra H. Greene (the late, Benny Greene), and Lynda Woodward.

In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Ray Hawkins, Sr. and Ruth Hawkins Venable; and son, Ralph B. Durfee.

Hawk was born and raised in the valley and can remember when Hwy 421 was dirt. He was a painter by trade and spent most of his career self employed. Most importantly, Hawk gave his life to Jesus Christ several years ago and because of that, he is now in the presence of the Lord.

A graveside service honoring his life will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026 at 4PM at Langley Cemetery with Pastor Wesley Greene officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service at the graveside.

At the family's request, everyone is asked to please dress casual for the service.
