Blanche A. Johnson

Mrs. Blanche Anderson Johnson, age 88, entered into rest on Tuesday October 6, 2026, surrounded by her family in her home.

She is survived by her children, Bobby (Angela) Bennett, Ellen (Jerry, Jr.) Hegler, Cheryl (Michael) Jackson, Diane (Russell) Deas; grandchildren, Jennifer Barton, Amanda Barton, Bobby Goff, Joseph Goff, Maleigha Deas, Jiya Deas, Steven Bennett, Zoi Slade; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Anderson, Kathey Sanders; adopted daughter, Diona Slade; and her beloved kitties, "Kitty Baby" and "Oreo".

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. James Albert Gordon and Mr. Kohan Johnson, Jr.; parents, Grit and Katherine Hurt Anderson; and brother Jerry Anderson.

Mrs. Johnson worked for The Graniteville Company in the Spinning Room for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and she deeply cherished her family.

Her sister Sandra said, "She loved everyone unconditionally. She helped me get through many hard times. She was the greatest sister ever."

Her other sister Kathey said, "I always joked with her about being the older sister. Sometimes we would be out shopping and I would tell her to "come on mama, step it up". She would laugh and tell me, "your day is coming"."

She will be forever in the hearts of her family.

A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Saturday October 10, 2026 at 12PM in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Don Stephens officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Warrenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Matthew Goodwin, Brandon Barton, Shawn Barton, Keven Slade, Braylon Barton and Cameron Barton. Bobby Goff will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
