Mr. Clarence Edward "Ed" Turner, age 94, beloved husband to the late Mrs. Betty Key Turner, entered into rest on Friday September 11, 2026.
He is survived by his daughter, Terry (Mike) Anderson; grandchildren, Phillip E. Turner, Jr., Deann (Mike) Stallings, Nikki Rodriguez, Michael (Miranda) Anderson, Brian (Elizabeth) Anderson; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his son, Phillip Edward Turner; parents, Albert Clark and Lily Rodgers Turner; brothers, Brunson, Loami and Alvin Turner; and sister, Malena Anderson.
Mr. Turner was a member of Highland Pines Baptist Church in Aiken where he was the church pianist for many years and the Mens Sunday School Class teacher. He was a graduate of Clemson University and worked many years as Superintendent in Public Works for the City of Aiken. Mr. Turner enjoyed fishing and watching "Gun Smoke", but his greatest love was for the piano. He umpired softball for several years, both girls and mens softball leagues. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Wednesday September 16, 2026 at 2pm in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Wesley Green officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
