Claudette Ippolito died on August 3rd, 2019 at Hammond Place in North Augusta, S.C. She was born in Lexington County SC and was raised in Aiken SC. As an adult she moved to the Washington DC area where she lived for over 30 years. She intermittently enjoyed living oversees in Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Claudette enjoyed a career not only with the U.S Atomic Energy Commission, the Communications Satellite Corporations Laboratories, and also as an officer of the Central Intelligence Agency when she retired in 1996.
She was active in her community and served as an Elections Chief Judge for 12 years for the State of Maryland, along with being involved with her local church, civic and other volunteer organizations.
Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Charles Ippolito of Germantown MD; 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Tucker, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-children and their families. Extended family including several loving nephews and nieces.
Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to your local center for abused and neglected children.
