Danny O. Storey

Mr. Danny Owens Storey, age 82, entered into rest on Sunday July 13, 2025.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Aleshia) Storey; daughters, Tammy Penland, Robecca Smith; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Dorothy Storey; and several siblings.

Mr. Storey proudly served and retired with 21 years of service from the United States Navy. He worked for many years as a mechanic for various companies including Firestone and Jack Rodgers Tire and was a member of the American Legion Post 71 and the American Legion Riders Chapter 71. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service honoring his life and legacy will be held in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday July 17, 2025 at 2pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial with Full Military Honors accorded will take place at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC on Wednesday July 23, 2025 at 1pm.
