Eugene Elza Herron

Mr. Eugene Elza Herron, age 84, entered into rest on Friday May 9, 2025.

He is survived by his daughters, Angela Herron, Virginia "Jenny" (Tracy) Ennis; sister, Carolyn Tokarchick; grandchildren, Courtney (Madera) Holmes, Caitlyn Ennis; sisters in law, Darlene Spires, Mary Hardy; great grandchildren, Kendall, Trace and Alexander Holmes, Luciana, Eliza and Pierce Ennis; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice L. Herron; parents, Elza Washington Herron, Virginia Heaps Herron; brother, Frank Herron; and sisters, Evelyn Gurnsey, Barbara Cadwallader.

Mr. Herron loved to work on cars and enjoyed paint and body work. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was active in the American Legion Post 115 in Stuart Nebraska. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service with Military Honors accorded will be held on Monday May 12, 2025 at 1pm in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Alvin Padgett officiating. Interment will be private.
