James George Timothy Giaffis

Mr. James George Timothy Giaffis, 51, entered into rest on Saturday, May 6, 2026.

Mr. Giaffis was born to the late, George and Evelyn Giaffis in Aiken, SC on September 21, 1974. He was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Augusta, GA. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with computers, all things Disney and Star Trek, and traveling to Edisto Beach. He also enjoyed shooting with the late, Greg Baughman and as well as his son, Mason.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Giaffis is preceded in death by his chosen parents, Dale and Donna Baughman; and chosen brother, Dr. Greg Baughman. Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Jenene Giaffis; children, Madison and Mason Giaffis; siblings, Johnny E. Kitchens, Christopher L. Kitchens, Sabrina G. Blackburn, James G. Giaffis, Nickolas Giaffis, and Elizabeth S. Giaffis; chosen brother, Roger Baughman; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family who loved him dearly.

In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold a private service at Edisto, one of his favorite places to travel with family. The family will also have a service for family and friends at Bethel Baptist Church at a later date.
