Janice Mathis Barton

Janice Mathis Barton, age 71, entered into rest on Monday September 15, 2025.

She is survived by her children, Andy R. Barton, Jr., Lillie Michelle Barton; grandchildren, Alec R. Barton, Arianna Rose Barton, Maria Bernarbe, Marissa Lynn Bracero, Amelia Rose Bracero; brothers, Tom Mathis, Larry (Helen) Mathis; and sister, Betty Plunkett.

She is preceded in death by her husband Andy Roy Barton Sr., her parents, Monroe and Lillian Nichols Mathis; her daughter, Donna Lynn Barton; brothers, Frank Mathis, William Mathis; and sisters, Shirley Floyd, Dorothy Turner.

Ms. Barton was an avid "clearance shopper". Always looking for a deal. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 1pm in chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. The interment will be private.
