John W. "Jack" Wood, Jr.

WOOD-John W. “Jack” Wood, Jr., age 78, of North Augusta, S.C., loving husband for 57 years to Dolores Schuetz Wood and son of the late J. W. Wood, Jr. and the late Nellie Pilot Wood Harmon, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Rodney K. Smith and a daughter-in-law, Doshia Lowe Smith of Trenton, S.C.; a granddaughter, April Kay Smith Johnson; step-grandchildren, Pete Johann and James Sanders and fourteen great grandchildren. He was born in Ward, S.C. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a retired forklift operator with Kimberly-Clark. He had an Honorable Discharge from the Barnwell National Guard. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched during the 78 years that God granted him on this earth. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. As per the family’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
