Lewis Alan Kneece

KNEECE- Entered into rest on Thursday, June 10, 2010, Mr. Lewis Alan Kneece, age 76 of Graniteville, S. C., beloved husband of Lizzie Abney Kneece and son of the late Price Kneece and the late Evelyn Jones Kneece. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Della (Leslie) Marx of Inverness, Florida; sons, David Lewis (Patty) Kneece of Graniteville, Alan Eugene (Lydia) Kneece of Ashville, N. C. and Brandon Kneece of Graniteville; brothers, Gordon (Janelle) Kneece of Warrenville, Price (Brenda) Kneece of Aiken and David (Joanne) Kneece of Trenton; a sister-in-law, Betty K. Kneece of Warrenville and a brother-in-law, Jack Waters of Belvedere; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughters, Rebecca Woodward and Sharon Kneece; a son, Steven Kneece; a sister, Shirley Waters and a brother, Ronald Kneece. He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Aiken County. He was a retired Road Foreman with Aiken County, and he was a member of the Army Reserves. He was a loving husband, a good father and grandfather. Up until his failing health, he enjoyed going fishing. He shall be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of his life service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating. The interment will follow at the Warrenville Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
