Mary Ellen Cowart

Mrs. Mary Ellen Williams Cowart, age 91, beloved wife of 63 years to the late Clinton Cowart passed away on Thursday June 4, 2026 at Pruitt Health of North Augusta after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her sons, C. Mark Cowart and David H. Cowart; sister, Linda Williams Fulmer (Zack); one niece and several nephews.

In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents Jesse Cleveland Williams, Sr. and Nannie Belle Redmond Williams; one sister, Miley Perrenner Williams; three brothers, Calvin York Williams, Holy Leonard Williams and Jesse Cleveland Williams, Jr.

Mary Ellen was a native and life long resident of Warrenville, SC and a life long member of Warrenville First Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral service honoring her life will be held on Saturday June 13, 2026 at 2PM in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Broach officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Glenn Fulmer, Jr., Glenn Fulmber, III, Ben Skinner, Brooks Robinson, Keith Williams and Danny Robinson.

Jackson Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.
