Mary Ellen Ricketts

Mary Ellen Ricketts, 90, of Aiken, SC, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

She is survived by her sons, Christopher Garza (Amy) and Mike Garza; granddaughters, Michelle McIntyre, Molly Danso (Dan) and Sara Cockey (Robert); great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Collin and Connor Cockey; brothers, Bobby Hydrick (Gerry), Harold “Bud” Cook (Pat); and sister, Barbara Smith (Dan). She is preceded in death by her parents, Butler Hydrick and Mildred Cook; daughter, Donna Marie Comparetto; son, Dennis Napier; and brothers, Billy Hydrick, Jimmy Hydrick, Louie Hydrick and Charles Hydrick.

Mary was born in Aiken, SC and attended Leavelle McCampbell High School. She was a member of Warrenville First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir with her beautiful voice. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who shall be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched during her lifetime.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Sunday, May 31, 2026 in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Ronnie Duncan officiating. In her honor, memorials may be made to Warrenville First Baptist Church, 1012 Aiken Blvd., PO Box 338, Warrenville, SC 29851.
