She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jackie Bryan; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Jeanne.

Olivia grew up in Evans, Georgia alongside her parents, Emily and Dan, and her siblings, Charlie and Emma.

Growing up, Olivia quickly showed her headstrong personality and independence. She had many interests and followed each of them to the extreme. She did not allow judgement from others to stop her from being herself. A bountiful collection of English History Textbooks, Harry Potter novels, and Twilight books were stacked in her childhood bookshelf. When going to movie premiers, she often arrived perhaps a little too early, dressed to the nines. Olivia carried around a small Robert Pattinson action figure and earned the reputation as the “Pocket Rob” girl in high school. She carried her individuality with her everywhere she went, and her humor and character were always present.

Being the oldest of the three siblings, she was the first to venture off to college at the University of Georgia, where she studied Athletic Training. She would eventually join the AT team for UGA football. Walking out each Saturday between the hedges at Sanford Stadium, she quickly became the pride and joy of the King family. She loved to cheer on the dawgs, whether it was on the sidelines or in the stands. Her career took her all over the country, but she always found herself back in the town she loved the most, Athens, Georgia.

She continued on to receive her master’s degree at Syracuse University. She helped ‘Cuse Women’s Lacrosse to the NCAA semifinals and found her love for working in women’s college athletics. After a stint as a high school AT and teacher, she worked at both West Point Military Academy and Quinnipiac University with a variety of teams. She impacted hundreds of student athletes, bringing so much laugher to training rooms across the Northeast.

She never loved anything halfway and went on so many adventures. Accompanied by her fiancé, Anna, she travelled across the country to see her favorite player Lucy Bronze play for Chelsea and to see her favorite artist, Fletcher. Olivia would be the first one to tell you about how she got to see Beyonce perform, THREE times, any chance she could. Blasting her music in the car or at the infusion center, you always knew where Olivia could be found.

Anna and Olivia lived happily together in Connecticut, building a family with their two cats, Gus and Scout. In their yard was a bird sanctuary. Anna made it so Olivia could look out and watch the different birds that visited. Of course, Olivia learned how to identify the birds that came, eventually finding her favorite in the black-capped chickadee. Olivia and Anna also enjoyed eating at different restaurants and eateries Anna found for them to enjoy. It seemed they always had little trips planned, yet they enjoyed sitting together playing video games or watching reality tv together just as much.

Even as her battle with breast cancer continued, she never lost the spark that made her who she was. Every nurse at the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Center knew her name, and Olivia never met a stranger. Olivia was always going to be Olivia, no matter how badly her disease progressed. She always had a “thank you” for those that cared for her. She never backed away from a challenge. Olivia was always there for her family and friends, even as the cancer took a toll on her that most people could not imagine. At her brother Charlie’s wedding, she danced her heart out, despite flying directly from an ER visit to be in New Orleans. She boogied up her platelets to the highest they had been in months that evening, singing and dancing with her family long into the night.

Most significantly though, Olivia made a lasting impact on her friends and family. She was an incredible daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to all that had the privilege to love her. She will be greatly missed.
