Randy Wood

Randy Wood, age 71, beloved husband of 53 years to Sheryl Ann Porter Wood, entered into rest on Thursday June 5, 2025.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Tim (Sandy) Wood; daughter, Amy (Scott) Phillips; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren with two more on the way; sister, Gloria (Ray) Taylor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki (Robert) Wise, Cindy (Larry) Taylor, Lisa (Larry) Shealy, Joyce Wood; his two beloved cats; his best friend, Steve Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mary Gunter Wood; siblings, A.B. Wood, Margurite Wood, Judy Kinkle, Larry Wood, Leo Wood, Ann Wood; and brother-in-law, Frankie Porter.

Mr. Wood worked for Michelin tire as an operator. He loved football, fishing, shopping, and hanging out with his buddies at the canal in Graniteville. He was a member of Harrison Road Church of Christ for many years. He loved teaching and preaching. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. Mr. Wood was a great father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Sunday June 8, 2025 at 4pm in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home in Graniteville with Charlie Powlas and Isaiah Giaffis. The interment to follow at The Historic Graniteville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Tyler Shealy, Colby Shealy, Larry Shealy, Chris Wood, Travis Sanchez and Greyson Wood.
