Robert G. "Robbie" Duncan

Nov 9, 1958 — Sep 12, 2026

Warrenville, SC

Robert G. Duncan, age 67, beloved husband of 43 years to Mrs. Pennye Carter Duncan, was welcomed into the arms of his loving Savior on Saturday September 12, 2026 following a tragic accident.

In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his children, Seth Duncan (Zach), Brooke Meyer (Nolan); grandchildren, Emerson and Kobe Meyer; brother, Ronnie Duncan (Evie); and many nieces, nephews and friends that he treated and loved like family. Also, a special cousin, who was more like a sister, Maria Palmer.

He is preceded in death his father, Robert H. Duncan and mother, Thelma Joyce Collins Duncan Napier.

Robbie was the definition of a hardworking man who loved his family more than anything on this earth. He worked for Manus Bio (formally The Nutrasweet Company) for many years but owned and operated "Down To Earth Lawn Care, LLC." on the side. Robbie was heavily involved in his church, Midland Valley Community Church of The Nazarene. He served on the church board for 35 years and was the chairman for Buildings and Grounds. He was awarded the highest award given to a Lay Person by the General Nazarene Church, The Distinguished Service Award, for his faithful service. He also received several awards from The Nutrasweet Company including the BPP Award and the Safety Award.

Robbie coached little league in every sport available, and made an impact on countless children through the years. He was a servant In MVC Sports Ministry as a "Tot Chaser", umpire, concession worker, or in any maintenance/upkeep needed. He was involved with the Midland Valley Booster Club for 10+ years and received an award for that service as well. Aside from all of the awards and things that Robbie accomplished in his life, he was a loving husband, father and "Papoo", and a true man of God who walked out the example everyday in front of every person he came in contact with. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he impacted.

The thing that brought Robbie the most joy next to his family and his Savior, was being ministry partner with his wife. He loved and taught numerous children about Jesus Christ. He never missed an opportunity to tell them, "remember, you may be the only Christ people see".

A funeral service honoring and celebrating his life will be held on Sunday September 20, 2026 at 4PM at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Gallimore, Pastor Dwight Gunter and Rev. Mike O'Hair officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Graniteville. Visitation will began the day of the service at 2PM at the church, and will continue until the time of the service at 4PM.
