Mr. Robert Lee McCravy, age 71, entered into rest on Friday April 10, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years Vickie Lowe McCravy; daughter: Amanda Lee McCravy Sims (Mark); two grandsons, Robert Alexander Mabe, Frederick Hunter Lee Mabe; brother, Bill Creech, (Gina); one very special niece, Rebecca Massaro; bonus daughters Tiffany Mack and Jamie Creech. With lots more nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews, including a very special family friend and godmother, Miriam Burkholder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bertie Mae Mccravy; his in-laws, Haskell and Lucille Lowe; sisters, Dixie Craig and Jean Banks; his brothers, Fred Lightsey, Walter McCravy Jr. "Bubba"; and his baby brother Calvin McCravy.
Mr. McCravy was a graduate of Aiken Technical College with a degree in industrial maintenance, and he worked as an electrician, by trade, for many years. He has been a member of Horse Creek Masonic Lodge for many years as well. He is a member of Unity Outreach Church, formally known as Gloverville Pentecostal Holiness. He loved to camp, fish, go cruising on Carnival cruise ships with his family and spending time with his grandchildren, whether that be coaching baseball or just spending time with them. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and Boston Celtics basketball and a die-hard Atlanta Braves baseball fan. Mr. McCravy also coached Little League baseball at MVRA for many years. He played travel softball most of his life, until his health would not let him anymore. He was a former Boy Scout with honors of order of the arrow, and an assistant scoutmaster for post 153. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Bath and Clearwater fire department. He and his wife opened their home to many kids and adults who needed a place to stay and were in need of guidance and love. Mr. McCravy will be missed by all who loved and knew him, and we pray as a family that you show the same guidance, peace and love to anyone in need.
