Ronnie R Smith

Ronnie R. Smith, Sr.; 79, went to his Heavenly home on August 17, 2026.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marisue Smith; daughter, Nichole Smith (Ted Groomes); son, Ron Smith (Amy); sister, Patricia Berry (Buddy); sister-in-law Joanne Smith; grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Winsor Willinski (Emil), Vanessa Lee (Brandon), Josiah Smith and Jordan Smith; great-grandchildren, Baby Lee and Baby Williniski; sister-in-law, Lynda McGahee (Peyton); and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Denzil and Ima Smith; brother, Dick Smith; and sister, Barbara Taylor.

Ronnie loved his family deeply, and they always knew that they came first in his life. He especially enjoyed road trips and creating special memories with his grandchildren, taking them to fun and exciting places. He faithfully worked alongside his beloved wife at their family insurance agency, Bates, Smith, and Strickland Insurance Agency.

Although he will be missed deeply, we know that our goodbye is only temporary. He is enjoying the presence of Jesus whole and free as we wait for that day when our Lord will make all things new.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 3pm in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
