Mr. Samuel Gordon “Suitcase” Simpson, Jr. entered into rest on Monday January 30, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Gail Whisenant Simpson; parents, Samuel Gordon Simpson, Sr. and Oudia Wells Simpson; and daughter, Karen Simpson Derrick.
He is survived by his sons, Bill (Gwen) Simpson, Patrick (Donna) Simpson; daughters, Linda Meyers, Dawn (Michael) Mills; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Samuel was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan, and devoted fan of everything Graniteville Rocks, Basketball, Baseball, and football. He was always one of Graniteville’s biggest advocates. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, and friend.
The family will receive friends at Napier Funeral Home Saturday February 11, 2023, from 12 P.M. to 1 P.M. with a graveside service to follow immediately at the Historic Graniteville Cemetery.
