Shirley Jean Dorland

Ms. Shirley Jean Dorland,62, North Augusta, SC, entered into rest on October 31, 2026.

Ms. Dorland was a kind and loving woman with a heart for helping others. She enjoyed keeping her home beautiful, working in her yard and spending time outdoors. Some of her favorite times were going to the lake, walking the trails with her beloved dog, Cloud. She also enjoyed taking trips to the beach. She attended Sweetwater Baptist Church. Ms. Dorland was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to planning and preparing for family gatherings. Above all, she was a devoted mother, sister and grandmother who cherished her family and they time they spent together. Her loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Dorland is preceded in death by her parents, Ezell and Audry Coogler. Survivors include her son, Lee Padgett; siblings, Debra Adams (Joel), Betty Jean Duncan (Rodney), Tina Newton and Ezell “Bubba” Coogler Jr; granddaughter, Sophia Padgett; and her beloved four-legged companion, Cloud.
