Stephen "Russ" Parrish

Stephen “Russ” Parrish, 66, beloved husband of 40 years to Myra Parrish, entered into rest on Friday, July 3, 2026.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ray Parrish (Julie), Madison Holley and Collin Parrish; sister, Becky Parrish Cole; grandchildren, Brody Parrish, Coleman Parrish, Madalynn Holley, Sam Parrish, Knox Holley and Andrew Parrish; lifelong best friend, Brett Jarrell; and many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Irene Parrish; sister, Terrie Parrish; brother, James Cleon Parrish II; and granddaughter, Nora Parrish.

Mr. Parrish was a faithful servant of the Lord and was a member of Vaucluse Baptist Church. He was a 1978 graduate of Aiken High School where he was All-state in football and also played baseball. He later attended Newberry College where he also played football. He also enjoyed playing sports with the Aiken Baptist Association and the American Legion Baseball League. Mr. Parrish loved music, working on various projects, playing golf and also eating and cooking good food. He was also an avid UGA football fan—never missing a game. He worked at Kimberly Clark as a Process Leader and retired after 37 years. Mr. Parrish cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 6pm, Monday, July 6, 2026 in the Chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4-6 at the funeral home.
