Sylvia Howard Parker Phillippi

Mrs. Sylvia Howard Parker Phillippi, 91, entered into rest on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Helen McNeely Parker; aunt/uncle Lloyd and Sue McNeely Weatherly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Jimmy E. Phillippi; sons, Howard E. Phillippi and wife Libby; Steven E. Phillippi and wife Reina; daughter Linda Lee Phillippi Dunn and husband Victor; grandchildren, Eric, Daniel, Rebekah, Mary Kate, David, Mason, Mary Anne, and 12 great grandchildren. Also beloved sister Joan Parker Smith and husband Bart; niece Vickie Smith; nephew Brian Smith. Special mention: friends Renea Early and Aloha Ibancona.

Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, and caregiver. She worked many years as a LPN/OR nurse at Rex Hospital and Real estate Broker in North Carolina. Sylvia was a strong Christian who never missed an opportunity to talk with any stranger about Jesus’ grace and forgiveness. Most of all she was a loving wife and mother. Sylvia liked cooking, music and long heartfelt conversations. She will be missed greatly but is now at peace.

A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at St. John Methodist Church of Graniteville on Tuesday August 19, 2025 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Steve E. Phillippi to officiate. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A Committal Ceremony will be held in Mountain City, T.N. at Phillippi Cemetery on Thursday August, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. at Mountain City Funeral Home. The burial will follow immediately after.
