Vivian Louise Rushton Howard, age 81, entered into enternal rest on Wednesday April 8, 2026.
She is survived by her sons, Vincent (Deborah) Howard, Brian (Emily) Howard; grandchildren, Mei Lin, Kai Li, and Briley Howard; sisters, Thelma (Fred) Rogers, Ann (Paul) Peterson; and brother, Danny Mills.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Anna Mae Rushton; and sister, Miriam Ethier.
Ms. Howard was a member of the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. She loved cooking and very much enjoyed eating. She worked for many years in the accounting field and taught Financial Peace classes at church. She started a non profit organization called Retreat Unplugged, where she would do ladies retreats in Florida. She enjoyed that so much. Ms. Howard also enjoyed camping, going to the beach, doing crossword puzzles, playing games and in her later years, flowers. She was a "second" mom to many. She loved spending time with her family, especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Longwood Parkside Fellowship Nazarene Church in Longwood Florida with Brian Howard officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Midland Valley Christian Academy at 3528 Jefferson Davis Highway. Graniteville, SC 29829.
Jackson Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with these arrangements.
