Wayne Curtis Baird

Wayne Curtis Baird, 68, died on Monday, December 2, 2024, in Aiken, South Carolina, in the company of his children and his brother, Robert Antonius Baird.

Born in Aiken on September 25, 1956, he was the son of the late John William Baird and Myrtle Lee Widener Baird. He is preceded in death by Ouilda Marie Madewell Baird.

Mr. Baird was a long time resident of Aiken and had a strong sense of adventure that fueled his career in the Navy and a continued lifetime of travel. He was passionate about learning through both books and experiences. Mr. Baird enjoyed immersing himself in languages and cultures of the world. He was committed to self improvement pursuing martial arts at South Aiken Jiu-Jitsu and teaching himself how to play the guitar.

Mr. Baird is survived by his daughters, Lorelei Clark and Helena Baird, two brothers and one sister, and four grandchildren.
