William "Bill" Albert Whittle

Mr. William “Bill” Albert Whittle, 95, entered into rest on October 7, 2026.

Mr. Whittle had a love of trains, especially steam locomotives and was an avid USC Gamecocks fan. Above all, his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. He also held a special place in his heart for his great-granddaughters dogs, whom he adored.

Mr. Whittle is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Whittle; son, William Michael Whittle; sisters, Helen McGee (David) and Onie Ruth Saltz (Ken); granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Dooley; and his brother who passed three days after him, Bobby Allen “Peanut” Whittle. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Eubanks; sister-in-law, Sylvia Goff; grandson, Kenneth Ray Eubanks; great-grandchildren, Brandon Dooley, Jasmin Dooley, Keri Dooley, Emily Eubanks, Gary Dooley and Kalee Dooley; nephew, David “Danny” McGee; and 6 other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Graniteville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Paul Episcopal Church, 117 Hard St, Graniteville, SC 29829.
