About Jackson Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory

Clint & Gracie Jackson and their daughter Melody.

Clint Jackson started his career in funeral service in June of 2006 Napier Funeral Home, when Mr. Sammie Napier hired him as a funeral assistant. Clint was just 16 years old. He worked through his sophomore, junior and senior years of high school with the funeral home as a funeral assistant. At the age of 18, Mr. Napier suggested for Clint to go to Mortuary College and thus he sent Clint to school and paid for the majority of it. Clint attended the South Carolina Center For Funeral Service Education at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood South Carolina. He was licensed as a Funeral Director & Embalmer in SC in 2015 and in Georgia in 2020.

As soon as Clint arrived home from college Mr. Napier had him a desk plate made that read "manager". He felt that Clint had been in the business long enough to know the ropes and was ready to trust him with the business and made him the company's general manager.

In 2022 Mr. Napier began having some health issues and decided that after 60 years in the funeral business, he needed to retire. In April of 2022 Clint and his wife Gracie started the process of purchasing the funeral home from the Napier Family and closed the deal October 21, 2022 as the new owners. Unfortunately, Mr. Napier passed away just 1 month before the deal was closed, from cancer. Clint was very sad to have lost his mentor but very proud to continue the tradition of exceptional funeral service in the community.

Clint had a vision and was very determined to take the business higher than it had ever been before. He had a 5 year plan to purchase a crematory to better serve each family, instead of contracting with another crematory like they had done for many years prior. In April of 2023 Clints vision very quickly became a reality as they were 5 years ahead of schedule and immediately began construction on their new crematory. November 2023, Napier Crematory was opened for business on site of the funeral home, and Clint remains very proud that when he serves a family that desires cremation, it is done right at home.

May 1, 2025, after 2 and a half years of ownership, Clint and his wife Gracie made the decision to start building a legacy for themselves. They changed the name of the funeral home to Jackson Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Clint would not forget the life and legacy of Mr. Napier and decided to dedicate the chapel to him. The Sammie Napier Memorial Chapel.

Clint attributes the success of the business to nothing but a blessing from God. "We pray for our business everyday. I know that sounds weird and we certainly don't pray for people to pass away, but we do pray that if it's someone's time to leave this earth, that we have the honor, opportunity and responsibility of caring for that person and their family" - Clint.

Clint and Gracie are partnered with long time friends Alvin and Cindy Padgett. Together they serve the community of Graniteville and the surrounding area's at Jackson Memorial  Funeral Home & Crematory.
